“Boom Beach” is a strategic online/mobile game created by SuperCell. In this fun combat smulated game, you command a naval army residing within a ring of islands. This fun game sticks to the same basics as “Clash of Clans” and “Hay Day”, but brings a new combat system to play that gives you more control over the fate of the islands. Within the game you earn achievements and battle points while obtaining resources (such as gold, wood, iron and steel), freeing prisoners all at the same time as defending your own base.

There is never a dull moment in this game. Enemy attacks are a daily occurrence, so that for sure keeps you on your toes. For these, there are many defensive items that you are able to use to protect your base. Sniper bases, mortars, mines, etc. Unlike similar games, you are not able to directly control where your troops go, but using flares you are able to ‘encourage’ them in one direction or another.

Land isn’t your only battlefield. Being a cluster of islands, you are able to build a naval force complete with gunships, landing boats, etc, all of which can be outfitted with different units that can affect the turnout of battle.
For a game with a lot of items, strategic abilities and tons to do, Boom Beach does a good job of gradually introducing different aspects of the game. At no time should you feel overwhelmed with too much to do, or too much information. For a free game, this one takes the cake!
